Introducing STATE

Bootstrapping the State Markets Ecosystem.

STATE is live on Robinhood Chain. It is the ecosystem token for the two groups that make State Markets expand and work: developers who build reusable State Market resolvers, and market makers who turn those markets into liquid places to trade.

Onchain is an infinite market surface

Prediction markets have traditionally focused on external events: elections, sports, economic releases and other outcomes from outside the blockchain.

Predistate introduces a different market category.

Instead of asking only what will happen in the world, State Markets ask what state the blockchain will reach.

That market surface is effectively unbounded.

A single token can produce markets around its price, supply, holder distribution, trading activity and liquidity. A lending protocol can produce markets around utilization, borrowing costs, bad debt and liquidations. A DAO can produce markets around treasury balances, governance participation and protocol revenue.

One pool can support dozens of different markets over time. One protocol can generate an entire category of risk markets. Every new asset and application deployed onchain expands the possible surface further.

Predistate Team does not need to predict which token, protocol or financial primitive will matter next. Developers define reusable ways to read state, and Market Creators apply them wherever demand emerges.

Bootstrapping the State Markets Ecosystem

A State Market begins with a useful question, but the question alone is not enough. Someone must write a resolver that reads the relevant onchain state safely. Someone must test it, document it, and keep it reliable as other developers reuse it. Once markets are created, someone must quote both sides so traders can enter and exit without facing empty books or unreasonable spreads.

Those contributions happen at different times. Resolver development happens before a market category has volume. Market making must continue every day. Protocol fees reward activity after it exists; STATE helps fund the work required to create that activity in the first place.

Resolver developer rewards

Resolver rewards should pay for useful, verified infrastructure - not the number of contracts a wallet can deploy. Allocations will therefore follow milestones rather than one-time submissions.

  • Implementation: the resolver is complete, documented, tested, and unlocks new State Markets.
  • Verification: its assumptions, dependencies, manipulation surface, and failure behavior are reviewed before the template appears in official clients.
  • Adoption: a portion unlocks as independent creators reuse the resolver for real State Markets.

Resolver developers also retain the protocol-level Resolver Developer fee (in USDG on Robinhood) earned whenever their verified template is reused. STATE rewards complement that recurring fee by helping finance development before a new resolver has enough markets and volume to pay for itself.

Market maker rewards

Market-making rewards should purchase liquidity quality, not transaction count. A useful program measures whether both YES and NO remain tradeable, how much eligible depth is available, how tight quoted spreads are, and how consistently liquidity remains online.

  • Two-sided depth receives more weight than isolated one-sided orders.
  • Time near the market receives more weight than liquidity added briefly to capture a snapshot.
  • Competitive spreads and genuinely filled notional matter more than raw order or transaction counts.
  • Per-market caps and wash-trading filters prevent one book or one wallet from absorbing the program.

The objective is simple: reward market makers when their capital makes State Markets easier and cheaper for other people to use.

Protocol revenue becomes a flywheel

Predistate intends to direct a portion of net protocol revenue toward periodic open-market STATE buybacks once the protocol generates real economic revenue. The Experimental Phase uses Mock USDG with no value, so it does not create revenue eligible for this program.

Repurchased STATE can return to ecosystem incentive pools for market-making programs and verified resolver development. The balance can evolve with protocol needs rather than being fixed before real usage shows where incentives create the most value.

This creates a direct flywheel. More useful resolvers create more possible markets. Better market making creates more tradeable markets. More protocol usage produces more fees. A share of those fees can then reacquire STATE and fund the next round of ecosystem work.

Buybacks are not automatic, guaranteed, or a promise of a price floor. Net revenue, execution timing, transactions, and reward destinations will be reported publicly. Security, infrastructure, taxes, and other obligations must be covered before revenue is considered available.

Launch allocation

STATE launched through Bankr with a fixed supply. Under its launch model, 85% of supply enters a Uniswap V4 liquidity pool created through Bankr. The rest vests to Predistate over one year, including a 30-day cliff, and is designated for Ecosystem and Operations.

The restEcosystem and Operations

Resolver developers, market makers, security, infrastructure, ecosystem programs, and protocol operations.

The treasury does not have fixed public sub-allocations. Resources can follow the protocol's actual needs: funding reusable resolver development and adoption, rewarding market makers who provide useful liquidity, supporting security work and infrastructure, and covering responsible protocol operations.

The Bankr vesting schedule also prevents the treasury from being distributed all at once. Incentive programs can grow alongside real protocol usage instead of front-loading supply before there is enough useful work to reward.

The launch mechanics are described in the official Bankr token-launching documentation ↗.

Build the next State Market

Prices and total supply are only the first verified State Market types. Liquidity, balances, protocol fees, lending utilization, liquidations, collateral ratios, governance state, and many other public onchain facts can become reusable market templates.

STATE is how Predistate begins directing ecosystem resources toward the developers and market makers who turn that possibility into working markets.

Predistate is currently in its Experimental Phase. All State Markets and orders are currently denominated in Mock USDG, which has no value. The goal now is to test the complete lifecycle of State Markets, verify the templates that read onchain state, and build the ecosystem of developers and market makers that will make those markets liquid and useful before switching to real USDG collateral and expanding to more ecosystems.
